Colour Class #19 — Colours as the connecting thread

In the 19th edition of Colour Clas, we venture to the serene landscapes of North Zealand, where a stylishly renovated mid-century terraced house awaits. This is the Brand Director of Montana Furniture, and her young daughter.

The vision for this project was clear - to infuse the home with as much colour as possible, ensuring Trine's daughter grows up in a space filled with virbrant, joyful hues. The result is a home that seamlessly balances playfulness and harmony, where every shade has been carefully chosen to create a sense of connection.

Join us for this Colour Class as we explore how subtle echoes of coloue can link rooms without direct matching and how a thoughtful interplay of bold and soft tones can transform a home into a space that feels both lively and serene.

Location: For this Colour Class, we journey to North Zealand, a tranquil residential area embraced by nature stretching as far as the eye can see. This time, we explore a stylishly renovated mid-century terraced house, home to Trine, Montana Furniture's Marketing & Brand Director, and her young daughter.

Mission: Trine's vision was clear: to infuse the house with as much colour as possible, ensuring her daugher grows up surrounded by vibrant hues.

Colours: In the renovated mid-century chain house, where kitchen and living room blend seamlessly together, the living room provides a gentle counterpoint to the kitchen's bolder palette. Walls and celling are painted a delicate light blue, creating a serene base that connects the room to the sky outside.

Pistachio pastel sheer curtaions amplify the feeling of drawing the garden indoors. The kitchen's creamy white walls and bold green ceiling find softer echoes in the living room's curtains and blue tones, creating an elegant link.

A Hokkaido-red dining table and colourful Montana furniture add vibrant touches, making the space lively yet balanced without overwhelming the serene palette.

Rooms can connect beautifully without matching colours - subtle hints surffice. A delicate base combined with thoughtful accents creates a calm, playful room that complements bolder spaces in the home.
