Margrethe Odgaard
In the summer of 2019, Montana launched a completely new color palette developed in collaboration with Margrethe Odgaard. The Danish designer graduated in 2005 from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design in Copenhagen and also studied at The Rhode Island School of Design in the US. In 2016 she won the prestigious Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize for her colour and textile work.
Just as the modules offer infinite possibilities for combination, the colours also need to be able to be mixed and matched

Inside the creative mind of – Sarah Gottlieb
With a deep passion for colours, materials, and the way they shape our everyday environments, designer @sarah__gottlieb brings a uniquely human approach to her work. Her curiosity about how people think, feel, and connect with the world around them is what inspired her to launch The Sound of Colour podcast – a creative exploration of design, emotion, and sensory experience.
Water-based lacquers
Since 2007, Montana has exclusively used water-based lacquers that meet strict environmental and indoor climate standards. Montana has received the EU Ecolabel and was among the first furniture manufacturers in Europe to achieve it. The label covers the entire Montana System, CO16, and the Montana Free shelving system. In addition, Montana has been awarded the Indoor Climate Label by the Technological Institute.
Replenishment guarantee
Montana's colour palette is extensive and we have expanded and changed colours many times since our start in 1982.
